UKids is an international project carried out through the collaboration of educators and researchers from six countries: Austria, Denmark, Finland, Hungary, the Netherlands, and Portugal. The program aims to develop social entrepreneurial competence in primary education, teaching, and teacher training. The project is built on three main pillars: entrepreneurship education focused on problem-solving, the development of entrepreneurial culture, and entrepreneurial competence as part of civic education. During the learning process, students tackle real social challenges, while enhancing their autonomy, creativity, and collaboration skills.

Key Activities and Student Experience

Students address and solve real social issues through project-based work, strengthening their problem-solving skills. The educational process centers on research-based learning and creative thinking, encouraging both independent and collaborative work. The program places a strong emphasis on developing entrepreneurial skills, helping students recognize the importance of innovation and initiative. Teachers and educators receive methodological training to effectively support the implementation of entrepreneurial education. To enhance cooperation and social awareness, students work with international partners, providing opportunities for cultural exchange and gaining new perspectives.

Program Features and Principles

The UKids program is built on the core principles of innovation, collaboration, social responsibility, and independent learning. It supports problem-based learning, where students engage with real social challenges and seek creative solutions. The development of an entrepreneurial mindset plays a central role, helping students become proactive and self-sufficient. Strong emphasis is placed on community collaboration and social awareness, ensuring that students contribute positively not only to their own growth but also to their communities. The education approach is flexible and student-centered, allowing each learner to progress according to their individual abilities.

Methodology and Structure

The UKids program methodology is based on problem-based learning, research-driven education, and practical experience acquisition. Students address real social issues, approaching them with creative and collaborative solutions. The program emphasizes the development of social entrepreneurial skills, helping students cultivate autonomy, responsibility, and initiative. Interactive and playful learning techniques—such as role-playing and project-based challenges—play a key role in shaping an entrepreneurial mindset. Methodological training is provided for educators to effectively support student development and entrepreneurial education implementation.

Expected Outcomes and Value Throughout the learning process, students develop the ability to find innovative and sustainable solutions to societal challenges. The program's scientific evaluation utilizes action research methodologies, which help measure effectiveness and refine pedagogical developments.
