EduAkcja is a nationwide educational program in Poland focused on finance and the capital market. The program is designed for primary school students (grades 6–8) and all secondary school students. While not tied to a single subject, it integrates well with business fundamentals, social studies, and economics. Its primary objective is to enhance financial literacy among young people, sparking their interest in economics and equipping them with practical knowledge to make conscious financial decisions in the future.

Key Activities and Student Experience

The core of the program consists of live online lessons conducted by financial market experts and practitioners. This direct interaction allows students to learn from professionals with real-world experience. Students explore fundamental financial topics adapted to their age, including:

  • The difference between saving and investing.
  • The basics of the stock market, including stocks, bonds, and market trends (the "bull" and "bear" markets).
  • How companies raise capital and go public through an Initial Public Offering (IPO).

Through these interactive sessions, students develop critical thinking, analytical skills, and a foundational understanding of how the economy functions.

Program Features and Principles

The program’s most distinctive feature is its reliance on active market professionals as educators, which guarantees the content is authentic, practical, and current. Key principles include:

  • Authenticity: Learning is rooted in real-world scenarios and the practical aspects of finance.
  • Accessibility: The online format makes the program available to schools throughout Poland, ensuring wide reach.
  • Partnership: The project is a collaborative effort by key financial institutions, providing a comprehensive perspective.

Methodology and Structure (Briefly)

The program is delivered as a series of free, topic-specific online lessons. Teachers can register their classes for the live sessions. The methodology emphasizes interactive learning through expert-led lectures, discussions, and case studies. To support educators, the program also provides supplementary didactic materials.

Expected Outcomes and Value

For students, the practice builds financial literacy, confidence, and an understanding of key economic principles like risk and investment. It prepares them to make informed financial decisions. For teachers, EduAkcja offers a valuable, ready-to-use resource of high-quality lessons delivered by experts.
