Entreprenuership and my skils

Entrepreneurship and My Skills is an educational practice implemented in Slovakia for students in grades 4-8 of primary school (ages 10-15). It is embedded in formal education and integrated into core subjects such as Slovak language, mathematics, informatics, and geography. The practice focuses on developing entrepreneurial knowledge, skills, and attitudes through case-based and experiential learning. The main objective is to cultivate entrepreneurial thinking by helping students recognize business opportunities and understand the value of ideas and self-development.

Core Activities and Student Experience

Students participate in activities that include watching educational videos on financial literacy, engaging in business-themed quizzes, and analyzing real-life case studies of successful entrepreneurs. They reflect on entrepreneurial journeys, read business stories, and engage in classroom debates. These activities develop students’ self-awareness, motivation, planning skills, and decision-making abilities. Key competencies fostered include spotting opportunities, valuing ideas, ethical and sustainable thinking, and learning through experience. The program strengthens their understanding of entrepreneurship while encouraging initiative and confidence.
